Travel Insurance
For your safety and peace of mind, RAO Tours & Safaris Ltd requires all clients to have comprehensive travel insurance before embarking on any of our tours.
Why do you need it?
Travel insurance protects you against unforeseen circumstances that can arise during international travel. A good policy should cover:
- Trip Cancellation: Reimbursement of non-refundable trip costs.
- Medical Emergencies: Coverage for illness or injury while abroad.
- Emergency Evacuation: Critical for high-altitude trekking and remote safaris.
- Lost or Stolen Luggage: Protection for your personal belongings.
Specific Requirements for Kilimanjaro
If you are climbing Mount Kilimanjaro, your insurance policy must specifically cover high-altitude trekking up to 6,000 meters. Many standard policies only cover up to 2,500 or 3,000 meters.

Important Note
You will be asked to provide your insurance details (provider and policy number) during our pre-departure briefing in Arusha. Without proof of insurance, you will not be allowed to start your tour.
